As we come into the 2025 campaign cycle we’re revisiting our goals and objectives for this space. Our approach and our intent is to focus on reaching community members that share our pro-public school vision. We hope to increase awareness of the issues facing public schools, especially Forest Hills.
A coalition of residents that support strong public schools, seeks transparency from our elected leaders and desires to stay engaged with key issues affecting Ohio public schools and especially FHSD is a worthy cause to support across Anderson Township and Newtown.
Advocate FHSD is not a one-size fits all space, we do not desire to be. We always encourage others to create & engage in spaces that suit them and help support their strategies to reach residents and voters. We recognize that reaching voters across the political spectrum takes on many forms – our approach to inform and build a strong coalition of supporting public schools is outlined below.

Communication policy updates
As we head into the 2025 election, we would like to take a moment to update our policy and clarify guidelines that we will administer through November. We anticipate full candidate participation this cycle in public engagements and in public forums such as this one. Administrators will continue to fact check and provide clarification on information where appropriate.

Management Approach
We are committed to maintaining a positive culture in this group. This space was created to ensure broad community awareness of issues facing Forest Hills and public schools, with efforts to mitigate behaviors that had inadvertently or intentionally alienated members of the community. If another group or site better aligns with the views you hold, we respect your option to participate in those spaces or, create a new space focused on supporting public schools with a mission that better suits your particular intent.
Aggressive behavior, excessive posting, threats, name-calling, misinformation will result in removal at the admins discretion. Admins are Kristen Kalonick, Kimberly Olthoff, and Sara Sudkamp. Decisions to remove a comment or a commenter from the group are final.

It is our perspective that a coalition of engaged and well-informed voters that support public schools is well suited to decide in the voting booth which candidates they believe will best serve FHSD. Campaign involvement for individuals ranges in opportunities – from donating to door knocking to letter writing and sign hosting, we encourage everyone to get involved. However, Advocate FHSD will not connect volunteers to candidates in this cycle, interested volunteers should reach out to campaigns directly through their respective campaign pages.
We thank you for all your continued support of the district we all care so much about – especially in these challenging times!
